On the 17th of September 06 in the blazing Cancun sunshine five competitors, Adam Mackie, Jean-Marc Bollinger, Ronald Gulliver, James Matthews and Xanders Richters took part in the Cancun Half Ironman to raise funds for the Michael Matthews Foundation.

Swimming 1.9k, biking 80k and topping it off with a half marathon the boys gave it their all. Finishing in a time of 5.36hrs and sponsored by Business Post, James Matthews stated that he was delighted the whole team finished the event:

“It was fantastic to be a part of such a strong team – the lads gave it everything”.

Between them the five boys raised one hundred and thirty thousand pounds for The Michael Matthews Foundation.
