David Hill is funded to board at the well known Kelly College in Tavistock, Devon where many fine sports men and women are coached.

David is a talented swimmer and was born without part of his lower left arm. During our four years together David has broken world records repeatedly (in 50m backstroke) - won many gold medals in UK National Championships - and, in 2004, was picked for the British Olympic Team to go to Athens where he battled through to the final and finished eighth. He says now... "roll on Beijing and, if selected, I'll take Michael Matthews along with me."

David was the youngest member of the entire British Olympic and Paralympic Team at the Athens Games and The Michael Matthews Foundation is proud to support him. Since the Paralympics, David has competed in the UK National Junior Championships where he won 8 gold medals, gained 3 personal best times, broke 3 National Junior records and the 50m backstroke British and European Senior Record.

There are numbers of other worthy, young David Hill's out there and the Michael Matthews Foundation can and will find them as funding allows.
